1968 Chevrolet Camaro Resto-Mod

If you’re looking for something unique and that will stand out among others, take a look at this 1968 Camaro resto-mod. This car was ordered new by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Starr on 12-11-1967 at Ferris Chevrolet in Marengo Illinois. It comes with original order receipt, dealer invoice, protecto-plate, and service receipts from throughout their ownership. When the car was purchased from them in 2012, it was in great original condition with the original 327 V8 engine, power-glide automatic transmission, mostly original paint, original interior, and rust-free body panels. From that great foundation, the great cruiser you see today was built.

The transformation started in 2013 when the car received the following modern upgrades.
First repaint in the original color code FF Island Teal was completed in base/clear.  The original interior was removed and cleaned, and Dyno-mat sound deadener was installed throughout.  A set of new seat covers and headliner were installed, the rest of interior is original and in great condition.  A new windshield was installed, but the other glass is original and mint. The original stainless was polished, new bumpers were purchased, and a new front spoiler was added.  A new crate G.M. plug-n-play LS3/376 cubic-inch/430h.p. V8 engine and new G.M. crate 4L65E automatic transmission were installed. A Chassisworks bolt on G-Machine front sub frame and Chassisworks G-Bar control/4-bar rear suspension with anti-roll bar and Strange Engineering S-series FAB-9-inch Ford rear axle housing with Truetrac 3:70 gears, 31-spline axles, and chrome-moly yoke were added. It also includes VariSpring adjustable coil over shocks on all four corners, power Wilwood slotted and drilled 4-wheel disc brakes, power rack and pinion steering, Griffin-Max aluminum radiator with thermostat controlled electric fan, Vintage heat and A/C system, Tanks fuel tank with internal pump, Dakota digital gauges, multi-speed wipers, and Vision custom aluminum rally wheels (17x7 front and 18x9.5 rear) with Nitto performance tires.

The car comes with all the original documents, as well as the product information on all the upgrades and most of the receipts.  All this makes this Camaro one stunning performance sleeper. With just over 1200 miles since completion, this car is ready to enjoy.
